Immortal Ingrid
A Goddess had come to me at the dawn of time. Before I knew what is, or was. She had been there, preparing for me like an unforeseen fate. She did not know my name or my existence, but she cared for the space that was for me to occupy if ever I arrived. My landing was eternal and her preparations never ending.
She took my frail and mangled body and fed it her very own strength. She anointed my feeble mind with balance and comprehension.
When my belly reverberated with screaming famine she fed me her own alter offerings. When my heart became desolate and bitter she filled it with her sacred sweet, amber sap.
She gave me drops of golden wine that would dampen my infinite thirst for consciousness.
She performed these undertakings with such poise and virtue. But such a greedy disciple I was. For my eyes were always closed, blindly demanding and receiving from my Goddess.
Never once had i replenished her altar. Never had i thought to anoint her heels in oils of sacrament. Or offer my wrist in aid to her throne.
This Goddess I adored, When first witnessing her... She burned vividly, warming the shadows. Now her light flickered and cooled, she still possessed her divine beauty though she grew reluctant of it.
She still had the same poise in all her tasks with her young disciples and she performed them ever more gracefully and effortlessly.
She truly is the supreme Goddess, eager to master and primed for contention. A living, breathing triple Goddess.
The Morrigan wept in her presence and Hecate hailed her endeavors.
My eyes opened to my Goddess in all her valor and allure. I see now how she gifted me her maidenhood to carry on this sanctity. All while being utterly magnanimous.
So today I light her candles and bring her libations. I tell her stories of balance and comprehension. I bring her golden wine filled to the brim with consciousness. And for when her heart is hollow, I embrace her; sharing the same amber sap she once used. My Goddess, by my side, for all eternity; I worship you.
